Social Media Management and Strategy for Roots Picnic via Live Nation Urban

 Every year, The Root's curated The Roots Picnic is hosted in their home town, which always signifies the beginning of summer for the city. Working with Live Nation Urban, I led the @rootspicnic handles in strategy, management and on site content capture assisted by our external content team.

 

The Goal:

  • Create a social media strategy that supported the festival, kept attendees informed + engaged and highlighted our sponsors
  • Create social first copy and maintain a presence across all platforms
  • Create a community management plan that engaged the audience and made them feel apart of the festival

Tasks Completed:

  • Created a three month social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
  • Social Media Management across all platforms + in real time coverage of the festival
  • Pulled analytic reports monthly
  • Worked with the sponsorship team to coordinate, post or schedule all sponsored content.
  • Community management across all platforms
  • Created a broadcast channel to keep the audience informed
  • Collaborate with the content producers to create content on site during the festival to post in real time.
  • Scheduled all post festival content
