Annually, Essence Magazine hosts their Black Women in Hollywood event honoring a handful of Black Women and their contributions to film and TV. The event annually garners millions of views and impressions, so this year the strategy was to not only highlight the key moments, but also show a personalized POV as if your "bestie" was reporting live from the group chat.
The Goal:
- Capture the MOMENT. Shoot, edit and publish content that gives a BTS feel with a premium eye on the red carpet, the event and after activities.
- Highlight Essence's pillars through social including fashion, beauty, tv/film, and more
- Bank content to repurpose at a later date
Tasks Completed:
- Analyze the given social media strategy and carve out what can be captured at what point
- Create a plan of action within my assignment. I covered fashion on the red carpet, reception and the event
- Shoot fashion POV content, tag and dump into the assigned content folder
- Take direction from the Social Media director on any notes, angles or talent needed to be captured
